Translated by Google (not my words):

"Unbelievable! This is not an ordinary car. Your driving will always be save and blessed in it. You won't belive it, but the former car-holder was our new pope Benedict XVI (Josef Kardinal Ratzinger). This can be proved by the registration document as you can see in the picture below. The car looks as if it was new due to the care it ***. The original seats haven't been changed yet. As it is a private auction I don't guarantee anything. I pay the ebay fees. The car can only be bought if you are able to pick it up yourself.

If you are interested and if you want to join the auction, please send a copy of your identity card, your ebay name, name and telephone number via fax to +49-(0)89-1488-154047. Only then you will be allowed to place your bid. Thank you for any inconvenience this may cause.

Because of the fact that I have already received more emails than I can answer it might be that I cannot answer your specific question, but feel free to ask me."

My brother and I did the calculation on the price of it...

And the grand total for the pope's old ride...

$94,425 is the current bid...

All I have to say is that since the new pope can drive a stick shift and he has a 2.0 just like me and calabi  ...he's alright in my books...

^ Just want to clear up that I only quoted the above statement ^

It's crazy how much that car is going for.

Maybe instead of that bubble car he'll choose a VW Phaeton or something!

Well, I mean, think about it...

Our last pope was an athlete and was dubbed back in the day as, "The pope that ski's"!

Why not this time around we dub him, "The Pope that Autocrosses" ....

And yes, the phaeton would be wicked awesome for a pope-mobile...
