So I'm finally gonna make a project thread for this since I'm finally making a little money, so I can get some stuff.

Recently Acquired Mods:

Porsche 944 front seats - $30 - (Need to be recovered, still looking into that. Also if anyone knows where I can get brackets for them, that'd be great.)
M3 Mirrors - $100 dollars shipped - (Already painted same color as my car, I got lazy and never painted the ones I had or got brackets for them. Gonna turn around and sell my old ones.)
Smoked Sidemarkers - $20 shipped - (Compliments of jettadude :))
Kenwood 3-way 220 watt max power front speakers - $65 - (Couldn't resist the sale at Best Buy, normally 99.99)

Let's see... what else have I done lately... oh yea, still trying to work with that freakin upper intake manifold. I think I'm gonna hafta get my mom to weld over the hole, because bolting it is hopeless.

Pics coming soon, when I get some time, and my car is clean (It's embarrasingly dirty right now) Also have a few pics of my new rotors and my headliner which I never posted pics of.

Can't wait for pictures!

Can't you just weld mk3 seat brackets onto the Porsche seats?

Hmmm, maybe, I'd hafta take out one of the seats and check how that would work. My mom could weld that on.. never thought of that.

So I got the mirrors in and installed them... and I don't like them, going to sell both my sets now. Probably just going to paint my stock mirrors instead.

Make sure you use a mig welder, cause the 2.0L manifold is made of cast aluminum. :D

yea, my mom is a metal sculptist, you can check out her stuff at http://www.mgperkins.com/

But yea, useful because she has all the equipment I need, and she knows how to do it, so I can weld whatever I need or want

Update:

Finally installed the sunroof that's been sitting in my garage. Works beautifully. One of these days I'll hafta take a quick picture of my black headliner too. I made it out of this foamy cloth stuff, so it actually deadens sound even more.. anyhow, just thought that the hours of labor for installing a new sunroof should be mentioned or something, I'm psyched to have a working one, never been working since I bought the car.

Oh, I also need to take a picture of my ghetto rig under the hood. I have two elastic pieces of cloth holding this one hose that goes into the throttle body, to keep it from popping out... funny stuff.

i really don't like the M3 mirrors. like they look good from the front, but the acutal mirror and how its positioned i don't like it. my buddy has them on his 97 jetta and there hard as hell to see out of, cuz there soo little.

I wonder if it's anything like that makeup mirror I glued to my rabbit to get it to pass

Yea, I took those mirrors off and resold them on ebay, lost a few bucks, but oh well.

I hate losing money on things, that's probably why I keep everything....

Any new things done to the car?

Nothin since my last post. I'm currently saving up for a cup kit, although now that I'm back in school, that may take a while longer. Actually, as I type this, I'm sitting in a bagel shop inside the student center, using the wireless.
