Does anyone know what spot under the front of the car is safe to use for jacking the car up? A detailed explanation or picture would be most helpful.

theres usually designated spots on the side of the car for the oem jack.
i sound like a broken record today lol, once again check out your owners manual, the newer ones have lots of helpful info,
and if you dont see it in there and your using a floor jack find a sturdy spot under the front a arm and jack er on up, just make sure you dont pinch any lines. if its going to be prolonged work i sugest jack stands or tire ramps .

I had already checked the owner's manual and it only lists the fours spots on the side. I was hoping there was a good spot in the front middle. I plan on using jack stands but I need to get the car up first to put the jack stands under it.

id say under the front a arm is the best bet for ya, jack up one side at a time and jack stand er up! i usually do one side at a time to get up on the stands.

Joe-

I too looked for one...its definately not possible for the front, only the four designated spots...the only way to lift it in the front is to buy a floor jack...secondly, when using the OEM jack make sure you get the piece that lifts underthere loose but in the correct place so as you start cranking it doesnt damage the side skirts...i learned that the hard way...but then again my driveway is not flat it has dips and little crevaces...as long as youre doing it on a flat surface-and the stand is flat against the surface and you crank properly youll be fine i guarantee it

I think I have a "floor jack" -- it's a hydraulic thing on rollers. That's what I wanted to use to jack it up from the front. I'm also wondering if I can use it on the sides jacking points without damaging them. It'd be a lot easier than getting out the OEM jack.

On the A arm there is a position where it bolts to the frame... You really can jack up the car anywhere that doesnt move... Like... Under the A arm.

Yeah, was under the car today and did not see a place in the front of car that looked suitable for jacking...at least not one that I could reach with my floor jack.
