OK, so I am in Mexico now, and some fellas just swaped their work cars.... they used to drive VW jettas GL with 2.0 engines and manual trannies... I tried to give advice and all stuff... but I failed... they went and picked up rice...
One of them bought a '05 Honduh Civic Special Edition or some sh!t like that (21,000 USD) with 127HP no VTEC engine, since it is so weak.
The other got an Accord, as weak as first, but with 160HP L4 engine, looks not bad, but nothing serious too.

Ok the point is that I can request to change my car every 2 years, since my '03 Jet 2.0 auto feels underpowered compared to my PD, but in Mexico there is no PD  I am planning to upgrade... this car should be for city and short trips, that's the main policy.

But thinking about beating the crap out of those duhs (I can actually beat one of them... one to go) I want to go a little better, keeping the cost within the range...

I test drove the Audi A3 '05 2.0 FSI (yes, the golf V with make up) and it feels fast as hell, but they won't approve it for work car...
So my true options are:
1. Wait for the new jetta with 2.0 FSI
2. Seat Leon Sport 1.8T '05
3. jetta TDI used '03 no PD

What do you think?

I'm in Aguascalientes, yes the Seat look sick, specially the Cupra R with stock 1.8T with 225 HP but it is not so afordable, list price is 32,000 USD... The sport version is 23,000 USD which seems fine.

PD stands from Pumpe Düse Technik, you do not have it in america as long as I know... we have the 1.9L TDI PD with 100HP and lots of torque.
