Greetings,
Im not sure if I should be concerned about this but here go's. When it's cold out at around 30 degrees and below my car is running cold. It happens when I am idling and have the heat on more. Im wondering if I need a new thermostat or something along those lines. It's not such a big change in temp maybe 5 degrees or so but my last mk3 did not do this.

Thanks in advance

There is probably a good chance that the thermostat is stuck in an open position. What car is it? A MK3?

Thats what just happened to my dads truck. The heater was blowing mildly warm air and it was because his coolant wasn't heating up enough due to a stuck open thermostat.

Ahh damn it will have to wait to get fixed since im already paying back a huge bill for a rebuilt transmission. It's weird though because when I first start it up it warms up to the right temp. It's only after a while of driving that it starts acting strange. When im moving the air comes out hot from the vents and when I stop at a light it gets just warm. ha

Yeah... if the car is not moving there really is no cooling going on... That's too bad, thermostats are a bitch.
