How can crap go bad after sitting 3 weeks!?(rant)

grrr! I swear Im almost done swapping my motor but there is always something else! Last week I had the car ready to start. everything was perfect. I turn the key... nothing. I tried jumping it with a screwdriver, still nothing! so, today I swapped in a new starter(Mk3 starter is a great upgrade for mk2 btw. Smaller, lighter, and more torque) Ok, so I go to start it... turns over eagerly but no startie. I can hear the injectors spraying madly into the motor as I turn the key, no spark! I tried grounding the coil wire while cranking and sure enough, no spark! WTF!! It all worked flawlessly 3 weeks ago! All the connectors are snug, no shorted wires. I'll be in there with the multimeter tomorrow figuring it out. WHY ME!!! grrrr I hate my car. But I love it too :P

Cameron I feel your pain. During the Vr conversion on my jetta (a three month ordeal) my brake master cylinder suddenly went bad, both front calipers started leaking, all of that crap. It's scary having more power and no brakes to slow down the car! Let us know how everything turns out.
