I was heading home after a drive tonight going up a hill and when i got onto the flat part I shifted into 4th and was just cruising along. I have no idea how fast I was going because I don't have a speedo but I was 4th gear 2,200RPM or so. Then this Jetta in worse shape than mine comes up close behind me so just to get him off my tail I shift down into 3rd and accelerate when I get to the second part of the hill.
He speeds up and is on my tail again so I put on my signal to turn and go down the long street that leads to my neighborhood, again, he starts to tai**ate me, so since I'm in 2nd now I hit the gas, shift to 3rd at about 4,000RPM and then into 4th after that. I heard his car squealing (not the tires, the car) as he tried to accelerate but I couldn't see him, it was pretty funny. I slowed back down to around 50km/h cause I'm a good driver ( :wink: ) and before I turned off I saw him again, it was funny.
It was in no means a street race, but the guy was trying to stay on my tail but his Jetta was crappier than mine and I had a good laugh when I could no longer see him. I must say though, I'm amazed at how fast my Jetta accelerates coming out of a corner in 2nd.
