I was going up to this college after finishing classes to visit a friend. One way is going through a highway that has lots of motorists, and another leads to a twisting, winding road that goes uphill and downhill. Obviously, I choose the 2nd road :D . As I was going up, this Nissan 240sx (aka Nissan Silvia S13 in Japan) was closing in fast on me. Those cars are insane for drifting! They are probably the most popular cars in the JDM world for drifting and sets quite a good standard. I knew that if I was going to race him, this was going be hard. Anyways, he pulls up beside me and revs his engine 2-3 times. I also start revving mine, and when the light turned green, we raced!

This was an uphill battle and because VW's have their torque quite early, I was able to get a good headstart. When the twisties came, I basically gassed each one. Finally, the straightaway came and I was surprised how far I had pulled away from him. I was even pulling even more away from him on the straights!

This really was a big surprise to me, but nevertheless, Im glad my little, humble 2.0 won! :P

Yeah, those 2.0's recently amazed me... A GTI with a swapped in 2.0L ABA pretty much kept up with a restricted VR6... I was quite impressed.

What is resctricted about Cory's VR? And Im sure his car would pull at least 4 car-lengths on me from a stop.
