Alright, I bought my Jetta 2 weeks ago, you guys know the deal, $300 for an excellent interior, excellent body, but a crappy engine. Well... it ran fine for me, not a problem in the world, but I let a good friend drive and some freak accident results in something getting broken. now it runs like **** and has a major (i mean major) oil leak.

So anyways, after myself & my dad couldn't fix it, we took it to a friend's shop. He worked around in there and couldn't figure out what was wrong, so as it was sitting outside the shop someone broke 2 windows (not the big windows, just the little triangular ones), stole my deck and my speakers in the back. I can't believe this, first I spend $80 on parts, and I'll probably be spending about $200 getting this fixed and now I have to buy new windows and stereo. This is such BS, I can't believe my luck.

Oh, I think I forgot to mention, I'm BROKE and that's partly because I spent a big chunk of my summer working on a project for a company who later ripped me off $2,400.

I would say since the p/o already told you the engine has problems swap it out.Even though the engine ran fine for the minor amount of time you drove it who knows what's wrong with the engine. It could cost you more money finding and fixing the problem then it would buying another nice running engine

Thanks guys, I'll check and see the cost of shipping compared to the cost of the windows and take one of you up on your deal. I still can't believe this is happening.
