3 cops ended up behind me today pulling me over... and for what?... This is sad... No front license plate and illegal tint (too dark)... Since when does it take 3 cops to pull someone over for a missing plate and a tint job?
Wouldn't you think those 2 other cops behind me could be doing something better with their time? I just thought that was sad and had to share...

Who was it that said their brother bent down in the passenger seat and the cop pulled out his gun, yelling "passenger sit up!"?

I got pulled over by two cops, both lights on the outside on my door, flashlights on me, the whole schpiel ... for something absolutely ridic... actually no now that i think about it... i was doing 67 in a 30 and the roads were like a slalom course, which ended up going straight through a school zone... (so much fun, but was almost arrested in the process)(Current record- pulled over 6 times- shouldve gotten 13 tickets- earned 2 tickets)

The above post was ticket 1 of 2...Ticket 2 of 2 was a unsafe lane change...
-I was on the Southern State (a LI highway that goes E and W along south shore of LI, when built in 1935 the speed limit was 35 now its 55 so you can imagine the turns this thing has...now keep in mind I had my blazer-see below for specs) ...any way...I was late to meet my best friend and a couple of girls to hang out...I get on to the highway and punch it...I get up to 75 and stay there, weaving in and out for like 4-5 miles...accidentally, cut off this other SUV pretty bad, then speed up to 80 then cut across 3 lanes...then i hit this one part that always has traffic and then out of nowhere a state trooper pulls up right behind me, but there no shoulder until we pass under this bridge where usually people get pulled over...I was sayin, "not gonna get pulled, not gonna get pulled"...what happens? I get pulled...
-Statey comes up to the car and says, "Son, first and foremost, I want you to know I have been chasing you for 5 five exits now(I almost laughed in his face)"...he continues..."where are you off to in such a hurry?"- i tell him straight up that i was going to meet my best friend and a couple of girls to go out, he smirks comes back with only 1 tickets for changing lanes unsafely and as he hands it to me, he says, "Try and slow it down a bit, eh?"

Reading that just makes me love Canada even more....
LOL when I go the States next I am definitly going the limit. I don't want to be thrown in jail... or have a loaded gun pointed at me. Who knows, his (or her) fingers might still be greasy from the donut and I might get shot, or my car might get shot.
At any rate, I don't have any tickets, never even been pulled over. I have been patted down though (luckily it was an amatuer) LOL.
but yeah, 3 cops for those 2 minor things is ridiculous. And to think cops complain about not having enough money...

Luckily, I have never gotten a ticket so far and dont plan to get one either 8). A close call of me getting pulled over was when I was going around 95 mph on a 30 mph road. Fortunately, I spotted the cop car some distance away and was able to slow down to the speed limit. :D

let me break it down real simple for you: with every action there is a result. if you don't have front plates and black your windows = going to draw attention to yourself... don't like... then keep your car stock... these guys are doing their jobs, I've been in and out of jail on bullsh**... yes... but when you get to the reason why I was there it was a choice I made.

Sounds like you earned those...
i regret (but not really) to inform all of you that i will soon have a
doughnut inflated a**.*edited for language by sausageburner*
so eloquently put.
I will be the jackass pulling you guys over for doing whatever stupid stuff you may be doing. I really actually look forward not to the action of pulling people over, but their excuses. I promise to start a thread for that one as soon as i'm a cop.
maybe all of you with speeding tickets need a car like mine. that way you can't overrule the governer. the engine itself is the governer. 1986 diesel w/o turbo.
so, until i see you pulled over in front of me, see you next time kiddies.

You hate cops huh?
I think what you are trying to say here is you hate it when you get caught doing something against the law and they actually have the balls to give you a ticket for it?
It's people like you that are creating problems for our law enforcement officers. If you decide to brake the law you have decided you will accept the ticket when you get caught.
I was once young and dumb and I received my fair share of citations but I deserved every one of them. Did it make me happy? No it didn't but I'm the one that was being dumb so I paid.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and tell ya your a real dumb ass if your going 120 anywhere but on a track.
Just my 2 cents.

Ya I wasn't attempting to be harsh but wanted to get my point across.
I understand we all have different views when we are young but those of us that realize (when young) that we pay for our mistakes are much better off when we get older by making the necessary changes when we are younger rather than older.
I've watched my younger brother fight his way through the system for years now. He keeps thinking he can win and he doesn't. Really hurts to sit here and watch. He is getting MUCH better as he ages and this is my point.

Different subject kinda, twig when you gonna be all official?
hahahaha one thing the american cops have on us is the very little leniency for speeding. a ticket being let down from 120 to 118! ooooh
we normally drop it 20/30kmph on the highways. but then again, if we come across an individual w/ an attitude like streetdblo, we find anything and everything wrong. oh, you were going 52 in a 50? well, that's the ticket. oh, your exhaust sounds like a tin can? well, cause disturbance. oh, your radio was so loud you couldn't hear my sirens when i was behind you? well, excessive noise. etc. :D
but hey. that's only the jerkburgers out there. we will give breaks where they are deserved.
so, from your friendly neighbourhood cop, drive safe out there ;)
**haha, you guys posted those two while i was typing this one out**

Sometimes it takes a huge accident to wake up the young people. I had an experience like that when I was just barely 18... I nearly died and destroyed a 1998 GLX Jetta with 35,000 miles on it. A HUGE wake up call for me. I got reckless a reckless driving citation, mandatory driving course and traffic school, $475 fine and a swift kick in the ass by my old man.
Horrible experience. It freaks me out just thinking about how close I came to dying. My accident was only at 80mph and I can only imagine how worse the havoc would be at 110 or 120. I really good friend of mine was racing on the highway in his Civic. 120mph weaving in and out of traffic. Lost control, flew over the fence and rolled 100 feet ejecting him and his passenger (friend). His friend died and he will have lasting injuries... Now he has to live with killing his best friend.
I love racing and speed, but make sure your car is properly equipped to handle a high speed accident and for HELL'S SAKE KEEP IT ON THE TRACK!
for something like 5 kmph faster, stopping distance can be increased a ton. i'll check out the exact info.

The funny thing about this post is soon after I got my 91' Jetta N/A I was in neutral, coasting down a hill into town, trying to save fuel, and the speed limit changed from 45 to 30. I was going 46 and a cop pulled me over! I told him I was coasting, but he didn't care! Fortunately I gave him my militray ID with my license and he let me off the hook.
My friends still laugh at that one! We call my Jetta "Mr.Deezey", and no one can believe that I pulled over for speeding in Mr.Deezey!!
