How much should I pay...

I found a guy on vortex selling a silver OEM grille for an MK4 Jetta that I would probably paint black to put on my MK4. He was originally asking $40 plus shipping, but he said he would take the price I'm willing to pay. What do you think I should pay for a used OEM grille?

(It has a small crack that unnoticeable when hood is closed and a tiny rock chip which wouldn't matter if I painted it).

Would you be painting your emblem? If not then you don't really need to get one...

I would think $40 shipped would be ok, its a fair sized package.

I was thinking more like $30 shipped (maybe less), but I wouldn't paint the emblem. I think I'd rather buy from this guy than that website though. This is the look I'm going for --

40 shipped would be top price, start by offering something lower. that is what I would do anyways.

Haha, I think a lot of us are going to offer fish slappings now. But yeah, I think $20 plus shipping would be fair (it comes with the emblem after all).
