This is on your 8v right? If so then be prepared for lots of swearing and throwing tools. I upgraded my exhaust manifold from the single to the dual downpipe back in the 8v days. It was quite a pain in the butt, since you have very much no room at all between the firewall, and underneath the intake manifold. A 3/8 wobbly tool will probably be your best friend when installing this header. However if you have the patience, it will be a cool upgrade.

Use a torx T-40. Use a small extention and take the damn intake manifold off... It'll save you atleast 30 minutes.

very nice... you should consider getting it ceramic coated, just a thought...
also, that O2 sensor fitting is not really in the optimum location, it'll only be sniffing one cylinder... it should still work ok but for an O2 to do its job best, it should be sniffing the gases from all cylinders...

my O2 sensor is messed up anyways. i don't even have it pluged in. so when i get a new one it will run way better anyways. so im not worried about it. im going to get some high temp paint and paint it either blue or black. any ideas?
BLUE
OR
BLACK
?????

I used black hi-temp paint on my dual downpipe manifold for the old 8V, and that crap smoked off and was gone within a week. Those things get red hot, I don't know if any paint can handle it. Thought about chroming it maybe? Maybe powdercoat holds up to heat better?

That looks like a pretty good investment.
But is there a chance that could damage your exhaust system (moreso the aluminized ones) since there will be more heat going through it?

naw, hot exhaust is good... if the pipes/muffler are good and hot, the exhaust gases will flow better all the way to the back of the car... plus getting the system hotter quicker also evaporates moisture in the pipes faster and thus minimizing corrosion... all good things!
