I think he's talking about the Church of Latter-Day Saints. If I'm right, it's very big in Utah.

LDS = Mormon

I am LDS, however I am not much of a church-goer. I work most every Sunday. I am kind of the black sheep in my family, both sides on my wife's and mine are active LDS. I'm pretty much an evil person at heart, just a bad human being generally speaking. I think the Church wants me out. However most people around here thrive with it, they are good people who take care of their own well.
