I need to know Engine size of rabbit

I have a 1980 rabbit diesel and need to know what size the
engine is a 1.5 or 1.6 the guy I got it off of said he put a di engine in it but the guy was (a bit shady)so how can I confirm this is ther some vin# on the block or something I know that there are some vw diesel owners maybe one of you can help thanks :lol:

fyi the litre size is stamped on the back of your block... not easy to see tho...

do you know wear i would find it i looked on the back side
clostest to the firewall?? dont no if this is the right plase

Stamped on the very back of the block, just above the oil pan closest to the side where the engine meets the tranny.... It could be a 1.5.
