I would get a Bentley for your car, they are awesome manuals. They are a little more on the expensive side but pay for themselves in the long run many times over if you do the work yourself. What ever you do when refilling the fluid DO NOT pour it in the bell housing on the tranny where the timing light hole is. I've seen a few people do that and the end result is usually a new clutch.

Some company is doing a group buy on bentleys... maybe I'll go get one, they are like 40 bucks shipped or something... I don't wanna screw up my car :)

Here is the one from Rapid Parts, but it is $51.00 + shipping. If you can get one cheaper, I'd jump on it. There might be a used one on Ebay for a really good price.

My ***, I was SOOO confused by this thread at first, this is what I interpreted it as.

I would get a Bentley for your car, they have an awesome manual transmission. They are a little more on the expensive side but pay for themselves in the long run many times over if you do the work yourself. What ever you do when refilling the fluid DO NOT pour it in the bell housing on the tranny where the timing light hole is. I've seen a few people do that and the end result is usually a new clutch.

All along I thought you were talking about the luxury car company. Wow, so confused.

LOL that is awesome. My one friend flipped out on me when I told him I was buying a Bentley, He was like "it's a car" and I was like "and a service manual". He never quit either, he even sent me a picture of the car... its my desktop wallpaper now though so it wasn't a total loss.

In all honestty though, A bentley (The book) is the best investment for your car.

  Sorry guys, I should have been more specific that it was a manual. Robert Bentley is the author. Now I wish he made one for an a2 vr6, because I have to own two, one for the a2 and the other is actually a Corrado one for the drivetrain. That Corrado manual is about 5" thick and costs around $100.00!

I would say so, just watch of for the cd rom versions. I don't know if this is true or not, but they key code only works once for them from what I have heard. So if someone sells it used, it may not work. But then again, I am not completely sure. I would rather have the paper manual myself.
