Right on. Thanks. That is one sharp looking car and a fancy looking engine to match. I can't wait for the DIY. :D do you still need parts?

I'm still working on the DIY thing, been very busy around here as of late. A friend who owns a dub performance shop stopped by over the weekend bearing gifts for the GLI. I now have a nice set of GLI BBS 15" rims waiting for some new rubber. I've got exhaust coming along with a bigger cam, just need to work out a few more bugs out of her so I can get some milage on it. I'll post some pics once the upper tie bar and rims are in place.
Ty, I'll keep you in mind for parts! I'm constantly making lists.

You got it, FREE!
He even had a head liner but it was kinda crapped up, oh well, still have the original that's still intact, just need to reglue the fabric to the backer board. I have to run over to his shop this week and pick up a truck lid with a factory spoiler to swap out mine, same color -- whoo hoo!
Just ordered a couple new parts from Techtonics, ie : Cat back exhaust, 270 cam, adjustable cam gear, and new distributor (mine was literally shot with the hall sender just dangling by the wires). Just need new rubber for the rims and the car goes for inspection and emissions testing. He even offered a rolled 93 Passat for $800 as a donor for a VR6 swap, I'm trying to keep it somewhat reasonable since I love old 8v's.
Still looking for that heater resistor if yours is still available. Other parts needed are either big bumpers, A3 side markers, Corrado duck bill (instead of big bumpers if not found), possible big brake conversion or just replace the rear disc calipers - they've seen better days. A3 style Chinese door handles are on the list but not important at this point since mine are fine. After all exterior is done I'll have it repainted next spring, not sure if it will stay red or change over to black. What's your opinion?

I thought you said you got the resitor pack? At any rate, I have it. PM me your zipcode and I'll get you a quote.
That is going to be one sick car dude.
I'd say paint it white. :D but between black and red, I'd go red

Thanks, this will be by far the nicest A2 that I've ever owned. Just trying to decide if the BBS wheels are going on the car. I thought they would be in better shape, however there are a few pot hole dents that i'm trying to hammer out and a generous amount of rash on the lips. I'll try to get them as clean as possible and have them painted black.
Techtonics parts will be here next Wednesday. It's gonna feel alot like Christmas!!
