View Full Version : Weekend Drive Turns Into A Battle: 2.0 vs RSX

Winter is closing in fast. This week should probably be the last time for warm, sunny days (in CA anyways  ), so right after I finished classes for the week, I decided to take advantage of the weather by driving up the main mountain roads. I was planning on just driving for leisure until an annoying ricer ruined that serene scenario......

A noisy, lowered base RSX came down terrorizing the roads. Many drivers on the road were getting pretty angry as he passed by, for he was using both lanes and showing off with his noisy exhaust system. He pretty much thought that the road was his, but I had to change that...

I went directly behind him and stayed close to his tail. I flashed him 2 or 3 times and off we went! From corner to corner and even some straights, I was able to pace along with him. The RSX has more power, but not enough to make quite a difference on the small straightaways.

After getting bored, I overtook him on a medium-speed corner and ended the match by getting away from him. I never saw him on my rear-side mirrors again....

Yep, the Santa Cruz Mountains. :D They are so fun to play within during the weekends! MiamiDave, is there any chance that you'll be coming back to CA? It would be pretty cool if we could drive up there with other jetta owners! :D

I think he meant canada didnt he?

Although weather in CA is primarily moderate most of the year, it does start getting cold around late October. But you know, colder weather is much better for "spirited driving". It helps cool the car quicker so you can push it much harder than during any other time of the year. :)
