today i took a lil cruise down to my local wreckers... Wow that place is fun, it was like an adventure looking though all the busted up jettas

I did manage to find a leather ebarake boot and some beautiful genuine VW rubber front floor mats... Also saw a rocco, ive never seen one in real life? dont ask me why i guess they are rare here up in canada! I saw a jetta with recaro's in it but the seats were badly shredded which is a bummer!

I saw a nice jetta with LEATHER HEATED SEATS! i asked the guy how much, he says you get em outta the car yourself $120 CAD.... So imma go back and knab those babys

I looked for a light bulb for my heater guage face but was unable to come across one :( Does anyone know how to just change the bulb??

I also came across a few AUDI's does anyone know any parts that are common between the jetta and audi 5000 or any audi that i can steal parts from??

I was also a lil dissapionted i was looking for a GTI or a Golf, NEITHER!

I wanted to get a dual headlight grill  Just my luck...

Pretty stoked about those seats tho!! the drivers side had some nice tears but at that price ill get it reapolstered!!!

Answer some of my questions :D

Thanks for listening to my lil field trip story!!

sounds like u had fun...wreckers trips are always cool... there are several here in london that always have lots of VWs of all kinds!
you've never seen a rocco in person? we need to get you out to some vwot events next summer, or even to a show or two!

your one question regarding the bulb for the heater face... it technically isnt supposed to be changeable, i think VW intended for you to replace the whole face when the bulb goes. You can get the face apart to replace the bulb but it requires actually breaking it apart, and it will never go back together the same, but it will go back together and work. The bulb is out on my car as well, i have another bulb, but i just haven't got around to having a go at he face... hmmm maybe i should do that today since i have nothing else to do! stay tuned mebbe ill do a DIY...

Good deal on the seats, the nearest junkyard or wrecker from my house is like hours... Maybe I should go one of these days.

Slalom a DIY would be awesome.

I think that the nearest Pick and Pull is an hour away from me. I think I will go check it out once I buy a car and get it on the road.

Sonjay, since you have a TD, I don't know what parts you could use. If you find some nice seats, with a bit of work they could most likely fit in your Jetta.

DIY dang that would be great!

Yeah i want new seats badly, mine are in good condition just there old, and I LOVE LEATHER

Slalom i need to come into london sometime then, because i need to get some lil stuff and most of the jettas at my wreckyard are like 88's and stuff...

Maybe ill take a swing down there, when i have time :D

well u are welcome anytime... weather might not cooperate from here on in, but next spring/summer you should make the drive up for a meet or two... and get you out to the June Jitterbug Niagara Falls show!

the DIY is in the How-to section now btw :D

Yeah... very hard to find mercedes in the junkyard too... There was only 1 in the junkyard I went to today... And durring that time, 2 other guys came and got parts off it. LOL!!! Yeah, I hear older golfs are a bit rare up north.

They can't be too rare because almost no one wants parts from my Jetta. I am disapointed.
