I totally want one of the mk5 GTIs... stripped or not. Too bad I'm still i ncollege, maybe in 4 years when I get out...

The new GTi is awesome, however take a look at the new Jetta GLI 1.8T. Lower to the ground, big rims-brakes, and a ton of style.

Oh, that GLI, I thought you meant the mk5 GLI. but I haven't seen any pics of the mk5 jettas at all...

I really didn't like the new stripped down gti. I mean, if i had the money for that car i would get a better car.

I also don't like the new GLI because it isn't as kick ass as the old GLI. My old GLI could out drive any other production model sedan of the same year without a problem, except maybe high end BMW's. I once took a hairpin turn at 40 mph without the tires churping. I pegged the tach on that car more times then i can count, the car ran strong till it had a small explosion, and even then it still drove. That was a great car, i don't think the new one is as good as the old one.

I知 not saying that the new GLI is a bad car, I知 just saying that the old GLI was a lot better then its competition then the new GLI, and I知 disappointed. I wanted the new GLI to at least have a recaro int, AWD, a W8, and have a 6 speed manual. For a long time the old GLI was the best car that VW made, and I wanted the new one to be that way too.

in case you didnt know tho... the new GLI DOES have Recaro seats and a 6-speed manual... if you want AWD and a W8, get a Passat...
