I just bought this at Wal-mart for $20.00. Kind of a cool deal, looks like a BBS wheel. The clock arms are a wrench and a screwdriver. I found a link on Ebay, the seller wants $35.00 for it! Link below. Meh....

I figured that this clock would go well with my die cast model collection, as well as the theme on my computer desk.

That clock is awesome - I'm going to WalMart! I atcually saw the exact same clock at the VW dealership this morning as I was there picking up a $2 nut for one of my pistons. They wanted nearly twice that amount for the clock, I think it was $35!

My desk is covered in papers, and tools to make network cables with. Since I'm in college, I talked one of my old bosses into letting me make cables for him for a buck a piece... so yea, my desk is a mess.

I can almost gaurentee my desk is the absolute worst. It is so bad. Papers, wrappers, cds, dirty dishes, I have it all. But I have enough room to use the computer and that is all that matters to me at this point in time.
But yeah, that is a super clean desk.

Trust me man, I am sure I have seen worse. As a Comcast tech I have probably installed over a 1000 HSD installs, (comcast's high speed internet) Crappy baby diapers next to monitors, bags of weed chilling, beer and pop spilled deeply into keyboards, even chicks dildo's sitting there. What makes this so bad is that a lot of times have to get down under all of that crap to run cable lines, install ethernet devices, and the power cord for the modem. There are prizes left all over down there, from dried dog crap, cat piss, to old take out food boxes smouldering with mold and such.............EWWWWWW!

On the flip side though with this job I see it all, including some of the most impressive computer setup's out there. It's strange, in the morning during the day I'll be in a complete craphole, then that afternoon I'm inside a 3 Million dollar home doing a wireless networking installation. None the less, the job gives me the opportunity to see what people are running, what cool devices they have. What is odd also is that out of the 1000 internet installations I have done, 3 of those were Macintosh. The rest Windows.

Anyhow, this link below is probably the best place to find weird car furniture. Also be prepared to spend some serious cash, as this Recaro leather office chair in the picture runs $1,795.00! 8O

You guys were going nuts quoting that one, I edited it, then you quoted it, I edited that, but someone else quoted, then it happened again. I'm glad it's gone now. My poor 56k modem couldn't keep up with you guys.

Well I consider die cast models kind of as collectibles and furniture so to speak, they fill my curios and wall shelves, and cover my desk. So far I think I have around 300 or so, including the motorcycle die cast, trucks, jeeps, you name it. That same exact > Exoticar Model Company Link < (http://www.exoticar.com/pages/index.cfm?CFID=607519&CFTOKEN=13391282) Has some pretty cool stuff if you guys are interested into that sort of thing.

300!!! wow. I have 1 model airplane hanging in my room that I had to build for a grade 11 aviation class. I have another wood one my parents gave me like 10 years ago. but it's still in the box. I remeber I took it out, looked at all the little peices, put it back in and went back to playing with my trains LOL. Models are sweet though. If I wasn't so lazy and/or poor/cheap I would have some.

I started out buying the cheaper stuff that you can get from Toy's R' Us, Walmart,....etc. Most of my collection is 1:18 scale which is fairly common. For the last couple of years I have purchased Franklin Mint and Danbury Mint stuff in 1:24 scale, expensive stuff but extremely well made with all of the detail. Sometime's I will see something cool at Costco for cheap and will grab it, but most of the stuff that has caught my interest I have already got. I have scoured the earth for an A2 Jetta model, being plastic of die-cast. I found a 1:43 A3 at the dealership 8 years ago, and still have it. The closest model for an A2 is a Golf plastic model made by Revell. Got the kit in the closet, just need to throw her together.

If I ever see a mk2 Jetta I'll be sure to inform you of how to get it. Your addiction (or passion) sounds like any, start with the cheap stuff and then get into the heavy, expensive stuff.
