I've been hearing good things about Modest Mouse. I need to pick up one of their albums. Any suggestions?

And Yo La Tengo is good. I downloaded a few of their songs from mp3.com (when it existed).

Modest mouse is a must have, for sure -I can reccomend you alot of good albums to buy (or songs to download). I just bought their new album - and I must say I am unhappy - I've been a fan for a long time now, and it just isn't the same old MM.

Are you looking to buy an album or download some songs? (Yo La Tengo as well).

Try these for Modest Mouse:
Trailer Trash
Edit the sad parts
convinient parking
breakthrough
3rd planet
exit does not exist
heart cooks brain
interstate 8
out of gas
paper thin walls
truckers atlas
teeth like ***'s shoeshine

and these for YLT:
Tom Courtenay (either version, but the acoustic is my favorite)
Autumn sweater
Damage
Deeper into movies
A worrying thing
Barnaby, Hardly Working
Blue line swinger
Detouring America with horns
From a motel 6

Just for starters. If I knew how to send you what I have (pretty much everything by these two) I would - That's how much I love these two bands.

rotfl...

http://www.allofmp3.com

There's a russian site. (Make sure you click on ENGLISH at the top) The russian copyright laws allow them to get around the RIAA and the FBI and crap. They sell music downloads 1 CENT PER MEGABYTE! You can download entire cd's at cd quality for like 5 bucks! It's awesome. Check it out. You have to either give them a credit card (HELL no) or you can use paypal (AWESOME). Soooo.... you have to give them 10 bucks initially, but this covers 1 gig worth of music. You can specify the bitrate of the music, so you can download an entire cd at 128k for 80 cents, or you can go cd quality and spend 5-7 dollars on a full cd.... Best thing about this, IT'S FULLY 100% LEGAL! The govt and FBI have been trying to find ways around this to put a stop to it, but it's fully legal. The russian exhange rate with dollars is incredible... 1 cent is like 1 dollar to them! They are happy, we are happy, all is well....

Go check it out!

they will get it on the import laws... bastards, music should be free, charging money for music downloads is like a car company charging the seller of a used car money because its a whatever brand of car.

Here's my favorite bands (or some of them)
Matthew good <- he is killer
Matthew good band
Oasis
Radiohead
thrusday
Alexisonfire
dahsboard confessional
Rage Against the Machine
Bush
Deftones
Finch
From autumn to Ashes
glass jaw
Staind
Smashing pumpkins

OK I'm going to stop because this is getting long

Here's my 2 cents on downloading music/buying cds.
Personally I would buy cds as appose to downloading them if they didn't cost so much money. 20$ for a CD is just rediculous. I think that the record company has to take a smaller cut of the pie and lower the price a good chunk. 10$ each and I would buy cds like they were going out of style (which they may be). That's why I like the music thingys where you can get 12 cds for 20$. (BMG and CDHQ). The only problem is they don't have all the best cds but there is still enough to find what you want.
