sorry ive never liked NOS... especially after i saw a nice mk1 rocco blow his intake to bits and nicely dent his hood while trying to do a burnout many years ago...

i think it woud be cool but it woudl wreak havoc on your motor.
id hate to hear about your jetta going sky high.a small shot woud be ok probably. but i heard that engines dont like to run quite the same after nos is introduced into the fuel system. it could be utter lies.thats just what i heard.i think NOS would be killer though hit that button and whoosh :D

If installed correctly Nitrous can be extremely fun. However it's very important that the motor and nitrous system be tuned very carefully before pushing the button. For example many nos systems inject through a throttle body plate bolted on in between the throttle body and the intake manifold. This can be a potentially bad thing due to the fact that the furthest cylinders from that throttle point get less of a mixture, thus creating an extremely lean fuel mixture environment in those cylinders. Run it that way for too long and you will have a piston/s that resembles crap. However most mods need to be done correctly to make sure the motor won't fry.

This shot is of my buddies car here in Salt Lake. 1966 Chevrolet Nova, 383 Chevy stroker running MSD, seperate fuel cell, and a 300 shot of nitrous. Gearvenders trans. This car scares the crap out of me, even with the locking diff. in the back once he purges the nitrous and hits the button once he lays into it, this car launches. 11.23 second quarter mile last June, at 4400 feet of altitude. Also on the dyno this thing layed down 617 wheel horsepower.

Yeah Dave this thing is insane! We have to take the car out by the airport when the track is closed. On the north side of the SLC airport there is a nice long stretch of road seldomly visited by the law. That is when we get to stretch the car's legs. With cut-outs on the exhaust, it sounds like a top fuel drag car running down the street.

He has run it up to 145, but never pushed it further. He claims the car want's to take off like a plane at that speed rather than hunker down like our cars. At that speed his car was just over 6250 rpms, and red lined at 6500. So I would say that if he really wanted to take it to the top he would possibly hit 155-160. But, that car is a 66, probably doesn't handle quite as good as our kraut burners.
