Headlights

my headlights don't seem very bright. but my main consern is my high beams arnt very bright. and it seems like my drives side one is brighter then my passenger side, any thoughts? i need to get these things brighter and or get some heavy duty fog lights.

Get those crazy HID bulbs or whatever... the really bright ones, heh

first you need to get rid of the stock DOT aero headlights... they are pretty much THE worst headlights VW ever made! do not bother trying to merely put in higher wattage 9004 bulbs, it won't do anything for you and will just blind oncoming drivers as the beam pattern can not handle the extra light output.

either get some euro-spec H4 aero lights, they are the easiest upgrade, they bolt right in and give you far superior lighting (thanks to the far superior lighting laws in europe)... or do a front end swap to either a single or dual round setup, then you will have a much larger selection of 7" round lenses with H4 bulbs to choose from... check out some of your lighting options here:

A good idea would also be to check the "handy page for the DIYer" that is in the mk2 section and check out the one on lighting. It might be a good idea to rewire your setup to handle more juice to the lights.
