here (http://www.dubnetworks.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=289) is where you can find some info on sizes....
and I think your best bet for finding rims would be on www.concept1.ca

Almost everyone will tell you that 16s look awesome on A2s, and they would be right :D

I like 15s more but it depends on the rim and the drop.

17's do rub, especially without stiffer suspension. Also keep in mind that with 17's you are limited to the profile of tire you are wanting to run. I ran 205-40-17's on mine when I had them, and they rubbed even with Neuspeed progressive springs and higher performance shocks/struts. Also if the roads are even remotely bad where you live, forget about 17's. I went through three wheel/tire sets in six months, costing a total of around $900 because of the lousy ass roads here where I live. Max I would do would be a 16, with strong wheels, I have had the best luck with 15's running a 45 series tire. No problems yet. Good luck!

my suspention is great!!!!!!!!!!!! its stock but its like its new! im shocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you have no idea. i have a full car. no noticable sag. and with a push test it doesn't bounce. thats why im hesitant to lower it cuz my suspention is still good.

ive got 16s as well... they rub front and rear at times... but my car is dropped a couple inches easily... and my Spax shocks/springs are getting tired... i think id like to go back to 15s one day, but not sure what style... but that will be after i get coilovers so i can really drop the car

Pretty slick if you ask me, it will allow you to see what your car will look like with a lower suspension and pick your rims. Will only allow you to pick the compatible sizes for your car.

I have stock 14" alloys on my 86 Jetta now, I'll be shopping for 15" rims next year, roads in PA are not the best, and I can't afford to be replacing 16" or 17" rims and tires every 6 mos.

i have 17s on my car, only thing i did was i removed the plastic shields in the fender wells, got a H&R lowering cup kit. got some wheel spacers and some longer tunner lugs off ebay. i dont have any problems with them rubbing. i did when i first did it, but once i got the spacers and did a little bit of modifications, worked out perfectly
