Thats alot of work. It's either 8 or 10 lug bolt you have to deal with (on and off).

Think I could lean my car on the scale and get an estimate of its weight too?

you could. just make sure to count how many times the needle goes around. an even easier way would be to drive the car onto 4 scales.

Actually, I checked the Vortex and it appears most stock alloy wheels are just shy of 20 lbs.

They are probably somewhere around there. It seems they are pretty standard.

Oh sorry guys, I didn't mean for it to sound harshe. I just meant that me knowing the wieght of my wheels doesn't effect me really.
To me it's like knowing that the wheel lugs are 17mm, or 16.. crap I forget

I just wanted to know, so when I get new rims, I can try to get around there or less, so I'm not actually helping my car instead of hurting it, heh

OIC, yeah I guess it is an important thing to know. Since it also effects your MPG. I'de take my comment back but too many people quoted me...
I think I've heard that each pound of rotating mass (your wheels and rotors etc) is equal to 100 pounds of wieght inside the car. But this is most likely related to your speed.

mine are heavy... 36lbs (tire/wheel combo) for 16s with 215/45/16 Pirellis... i can really notice the difference in handling and acceleration if i go back to factory sized 14s!! but they look so good, i dont want to change em yet :D
