I poorly photoshopped this hood onto my car, ignoring the fact that I didn't cover up the reflections and such, what do you guys think?
Thing is, my hood either needs to be repainted, or replaced, so I was thinking maybe a CF Hood, cause I'd hate to pay to paint my hood when I might change my whole car color later...

I personally dont like the look of the crbon fibre hood... :roll:
Can you paint CF?
because to me its just looks like a homeless car with a different color hood.
Doesn't have any style IMO
but if you painted the CF hood thatd be cool :twisted:

i don't think you can paint CF, besides people buy it for looks, cuz if you want light go fiberglass.

Oh, btw, just found out it's about 30 pounds lighter than a stock hood.
Stock = 45 lbs
Carbon Fiber = 15 lbs

well most CF hoods on the market already are fiberglass, they just have a CF overlay on the top... the fiberglass is underneath for strength, longevity and to protect the CF from the heat of the engine... the CF will discolour and look odd if exposed to continuous heat from below.
and yes CF can be painted... ever seen an F1 car?

So, I could buy a CF hood to temporarily fix the problem, and then if I decide to repaint the car, i'll just paint over the hood too...
But only if I can get one for cheap, lol
