Bought this 98 GT in December of 2001, had a new Fox from 89-01, and owned a bug in 1988.
I am not a VW mechanic, but I did stay in a holiday in expess last night.

....The head is warped and the guides are leaking all kinds of oil, but I do have some good news, I saved a ton of money on my car insurance by switching to Geiko.......

I've had my 96 Jetta Trek since 96, it had 6 miles on the odo when we picked it up. I think we got the Westy in 97.
I've had VWs off and on since 86 (more on than off) when I started driving.

Gee... thanks for making me feel old..... :(

Old people are sweet. They get better insurance rates and senior discounts at the movie theaters.

Just so you know, after 21, getting old really sucks....

I think I am most afraid of 30, what good happens after that with the exceprion of retirement?

I'm right there with speedbump - been driving since '85 and have had nearly 14 dubs in that time ranging from late '60's models up to current '01 Golf and '86 GLI, so like 18 years I've had some form of VW. Thanks to burn_your_money for hooking me up to this site!

It's not so bad be older than you pups, yeah, insurance rates get sweeter and so do the discounts. But along with that, it's just the amount of useless knowledge that we aquire that we feel compelled to dump on all the younger generation. (that was supposed to be a bust on us born before 1970)

keep the thread goin!
