Well it's a sad day. I've decided to part with the Jetta. Right now I am selling the Jetta, it will be on sale until the 17th of Oct then I am parting it out. The engine runs well with the exception of a high idle. The clutch feels good. The car comes with a list of parts/service needed to get the car certified. The car is yours for $250 FIRM. It is in several pieces right now but I can put it back together, but you'll need to take it apart again to fix it up.
270k kms, 1.8l 8v gas engine.
Basically the car needs a complete brake job, new suspension (with exception of rear struts and possibly front springs) new gas lines, windsheild and a muffler.
You will also need a heater core and battery. I can hook you up with some people who have a heater core and struts/springs for cheap.
Also, the rear windows do not roll up, the cables are seized or frayed. they work from wide open to half way closed.
The interior is pretty clean. The material is pulling away from the door panels and one rear door panel is cracked, however once it is on the door it is completely unnoticable. The front seats do not slide back and forth because they need new sliders (A $2 part at the dealership). The headliner is in mint condition.
The car also comes with a HAYNES service manual.
