Guy on vortex is selling "FS: port & polish 2.0, chrome, 4-1 exhaust manifold"
I'm assuming this is a port and polished manifold... Does that add hp? and if so, how much?

He said 35whp on a V6, which I highly doubt... he probably got 10-15 if that... A port and polish on a 4cylinder volkswagen would probably yield 8-10hp.... Not a bad investment since it doesnt make the motor work harder or hotter.

Interesting... I might just get it... But just about everywhere so far says get cams too... how hard are those to install?

Oh, and I found out is IS the exhaust manifold, heh. Some people say I w on't get power without other mods though? Is that true?

waste of time and money note you mentioned the polished 4 into 1 exhaust manifold.
you will yeld more power going with the updated 4 into 2 into 1 exhaust manifold off later model A2's and on all A3's with 2.0L (note the dual downpipe in the A3 is longer and will not fit in your A2) and with a techtonics dual downpipe you will yeild way more power than just that time wasted 4 into 1 manifold.
also headers is another option but they tend to crack after a few years of wear and tear.

You might want to pass on buying that 2.0 man

Yeah from what Dannie is saying that sounds like the thing to do (not buy it)

nice..but from what I have gathered, you are buying a stock 2.0 with a chromed out header...am I wrong?

Just the exhaust manifold, that has been ported and polished.

It's still a 4-1 though. I don't know but I would think you would get more power out of a 4-2-1 stock then a P and P 4-1.
