At my local wreckers there is an 88 jetta wolfsburg ed. with heated seats... i would really like this is my car!

could i pulll the heater aout and switches, or would i need the seat and switches?

you could do either... probably easiest if you pull the seats and just drop them in your car tho, that way you don't have to take apart your original seats to try and stuff the heat pads into them. but depending on how much the wreckers is going to charge you for the seats, (and even if they are a good price, you don't know that they actually still work)... you might be better off getting it done aftermarket... ive heard $200 a seat by a guy here in london (dunno who off hand, id have to ask a buddy who had it done in his Grand Prix)

Yeah i was thinking of just ripping those suckers out of the car, they are leather seats! :P But then i could just put covers over em, because the leather is cracked a bit.

What do you think?

As long as they aren't asking over $25 a seat I would do it. Unless you can test them. If you bring a battery along, you may be able to hook it up to check. Then if they worked I would pay more for them.
