Well today is a sad day for all the people on JO. Certain words, such as BMW are now links to other websites. That's taking it way to far in my opinion. That just interferes with the quality of the site. I told them straight up that if those things are permenant I am never going back...

You're totally right, it doesn't cost money to run websites, and they don't need to eat, take down the ads!

Those ads have actually been there for a while... but yea, they are annoying.

If you take a look at the site, there are defintly enough ads on their already. I just think that making key words link to other sites is like beggin for money. It's just taking it too far. I know that websites aren't free, but I do click on google ads just for the fun of it.

Well fellers, I cannot agree or disagree with you, I make no standpoint as to my opinion about JO. I choose to run a 98% Ad Free site, because Ad's only interfere with what the site was originally meant to do. Get the information from one person to another. Personally, I really don't care what they do with JO or the Sport Compact network because I don't own it. I don't make any of the decisions anymore, so it's not my standpoint to worry about it.

I will say this... I've tried to mold and edge this site to what I want it to be. The way that site used to be like. The recent burst of activity on our site pleases me very much. Since the site started back in April, we've had a steadilly growing user base, but YESTERDAY we hit record bandwidth usages. Yesterday was our most active day EVER. If we keep this up, then we'll definatly be on our way to one of the bigger contenders in the Volkswagen Forum world.

Soon, if it's okay with you guys, I'd like to place an ad or two about Volkswagen stuff to help pay for T-Shirts and Decals. I apprecaite everyone's participation in clicking on the google ads, it helps a lot!

I hope this site is growing to be what you guys want it to as well... I am always open to suggestions (except for the minor bugs and email problems). Speaking of which, these email problems will exist unti we move to better server if anybody is wondering why the email doesnt work, there is really nothing I can do until we change servers... So soon hopefully within the next 3 or 4 months we'll be moving off my home-made basement server onto a high speed server with some serious bandwidth and room to get the email going again.

LOL, a lot of the mean peeps from VW vortex and other sport compact network websites, kinda.... took over that site. There is no toleration for flames or bashing other users. They'll be met with a swift and heavy BOOT.

Yeah, JO has gone downhill fast, I am also enjoying the productivness of this forum! Keep it up people! JO isn't going to be on the map much longer as fast as we are expanding!
