02 GTI tiptronic

I'm driving a 02 GTI and I want to change it to a manual tranny. I was wondering if anyone has insight to this? I know it's going to be hard, but I'm wondering how hard? Also I saw a mkiv jetta (03) that was totaled. (Some kid driving to fast and hit a patch of ice and then a tree) His dad is selling it as is for a cheap price, I was wondering if I could just rip out all the pieces (tranny, shifter, pedal, clutch, tubes and stuff) out of there and install it in mine. Would that work?:confused:
