I am retiring my daily driver '92 Jetta GL. 1.8L gas 5-speed. 205,000 miles, orginal clutch.
Body is starting to deteriorate. Not sure if I shoud 1. sell it (for fixing up or for parts), 2. junk it, or 3. donate it and take meager tax credit.
I though someone here may be interested in it perhaps for a parts car for cheap.
It drives but need lots of work if anyone would plan to drive it many more miles: Tires, alignment, brakes, alternator, rear shocks, driver side door latches, shift linkage bushings. Possibly new radiator sooner than latter. I have been driving it back and forth to work, 20 miles a day for last several years.
I have 2 sets of wheels: one worn out set of winter tires on steel rims, plus original 14" teardrop alloys with some worn out tires on them. If I junk or donate the car, I will have one set left. Anyone intersted in a set of wheels? It would cost me to get rid of them, so I would be letting these go very very cheap.
I am in central Connecticut.
Thanks,
Mark
