The rest of the pics are up. Apologies if they are slow to load. If it is a problem, I will resize them again.
BTW, re: burn_your_money's post, it has a carburettor. All **X VW's are carburettors. CSi would be fuel injection, where as, in this case, CSX is carburettor.

Thats a really clean looking car. I like the repeaters instead of side markers. Are the roads mostly dirt? Are those stock rims? I don't think I have seen that style before.

Most of the roads are tar in the city. That is a building site next to the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. I just happened, unintenionally, to chose areas that were dirt. The rims are stock standard. Those are just covers that you clip on, because there are like 2 black rims & 2 silver rims.

I am in South Africa. We have a VW factory here in a place Uitenhage, which supplies most of Southern Africa as far as I know. All the parts were made in Germany and then assembled here. The only part on the whole vehicle (stock parts) that hasn't got "Made in Germany" on it, is the front left headlight.

Much of the plastic mouldings such as coolant flanges, airbox parts, bumper covers interior plastic trim, instrument cluster plastic, dip stick intake tubing are all made in mexico. Almost all of the electronic parts are made by bosch in Germany and France, and in austria. ALL the engines, trannys (entire drive train) are made in germany and shipped whereever. About half of the chassis's are made in germany and then shipped, but many of the A2's built in south america and africa are made in their respective countries.

I just had a look at the headlight. It is made by a company called Xacta. Part number is 020-30375. I also had a look at some of the parts, randomly. Everything, except the alternator so far, is made in Germany. Even the ashtray in the console is made in West Germany.
