Dakar Rally

Has anyone else been following this? (Rally race throughout South American deserts, covering many countrys). As of last night 3 out of the top 5 were in Volkswagens. The Red Bull Volkswagen TDI Toureg is a pretty awesome SUV and is one of the leaders. In Vancouver it's on these nights on the OLN (Outdoor life network). I think this is the truck except with beefier tires;

edit; I just saw tonights update and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place all go to VW Touregs!

I don't follow it, but I really enjoy watching it when it's on tv (OLN). Apparently the VW Toureg has been dominating since it came on the scene. As cool as it all is, it's seems a little ridiculous to be taking those massive trucks out there though. And as for the motorbikes, those guys must have a screw loose upstairs to do that.

I typically don't follow it either, but lately I've been checking in. Stoked to see VW TDI technology out front.
