My friend told me that if I switch my throttle body, distrubutor and some other things from his Motronic engine to my CIS engine, I would gain about 10-20 HP. Is this true? How hard would this be to swap? What else would I need to change?

it can be done, but yur not going to gain 10-20hp... if anything, you should just upgrade from CIS to CIS-E, easier, plus less complex and easier to tune than the motronic system...

Are you saying you want it? I was planning on fixing it all up and trying to make some money off it.

OHHH for some reason I was thinking eff = b resulting in WTB...
The reason I am selling the car (maybe) is because I might have found a diesel coupe :D

Well, that's a valid reason to sell it then.... But man, you had so many plans for that car, and so much done to it already... Ohhh well.

My alternate plan, although slightly unpractical is to have a fleet of VWs, basically one from every era (a1,a2,a3,a4 etc) and at least one of every type of car produced for each era. I guess I could start with my current Jetta but I want money to buy a TDI. A different plan I had was to buy crappy Jettas, fix them up and sell them. I guess I'll see what happens when I have to do it, I'm not one for plans.
