Does anyone know why when you get really, really drunk you can't remember 50%-100% of the night? I'm just curious.

Alcohol is a central nervous system depressant. That means it interferes with signals going between nerves. That's why when you get drunk you start slurring your speach, have balance problems, etc. If you get really really drunk the alcohol starts affecting the part of your brain that records short term memory, and voila! Blackout. BTW, drinking to the point where you start blacking out is doing some serious damage to your brain, not to mention your liver.

I've never drank to the point of complete black out, just moderate and it was only twice, back in the careless days of my youth...
