is this a push and turn to release type of bulb? If so I guess mines corroded. I wanted to check before I force anything out.

Really, what do you have to lose? If the bulb part is corroded, that means the socket is as well. Either way, you'll have to replace it. What you could do is go get a new bulb and see what kind it is. If you live in Canada, Canadian Tire has those books that'll tell you which bulb to get. If not Pepboys or something like that will help.

I didn't want to force it out and have it break off in it's receptacle. I tried pushing in while turning and it wasn't budging at all. As you mentioned, perhaps the receptacle also is toast. In that case it wouldn't matter if it broke I suppose. It's tough to get your fingers in there!

i have a set of used license plate sockets with lenses if you are intrested. just did a rear clip replacement and that is in my bucket of used parts. PM or email me and we can make a deal. i think mine might even have bulbs in them still. i will have to see if they are still good.
