i play guitar as well, i have a 1979 gibson les paul custom, with a flying V head, the guitar was custom made for a kiss concert then my uncle was doing the lighting for it and took the guitar when they were going to throw it out, it was used as a pyrotec guitar, they had flairs on it and it flew around the arena flaming at the end. so i got it from my uncle and been hanging onto it since. ive been offered $4,000 for it, but i tried to get kiss to authenticize it and they said no becuase my uncle stole it. so its still a rare guitar because it is totaly custom from the factory. ill post pics

$4,000? Why didnt you sell it and buy another guitar then buy something for your car?

I've been known to play the ukelele. Actually I'm quite good at one song. That's about it, though.

becuase that 4,000 now, if i hold on to it for 10 years it will be worth alot more. and burn what do you mean as if, do you know how much a custom gibson would cost even back then, my family couldn't afford it. and i don't think kiss would give him a guitar and why would he lie about it.

I said as if, because it is funny and not common. Who else have you heard of that stole a guitar from Kiss? I know from what you said that this isn't how it happened but I can't help but picture some crazed fan running up on stage, grabbing a guitar, screaming YOINK in the microphone and then givin 'er diesel out the emergency exit. I would defintly hang on to that guitar for a while... But I defintly wouldn't be playing it.

ukelele's are sweet!

I did read what you said, read what I said. Maybe my wording was bad, in which case I apologize. What I wrote is just what I picture when I hear of someone stealing a guitar from a band...

EDIT when I said "as if" I meant it as a good thing, not that I didn't beleive you. I'll try and put it in context "as if you just did that, that's outstanding"

I actually have played the viola for over 7 years now... cause I'm a dork like that. I've messed around with electric guitar and bass though, and I have one of each sitting at home... oh, and I took 6 years of piano lessons when I was younger, which I don't remember a whole lot from.

I know a bit of bass and I took like 2 years worth of piano and 2 years of trumpet and 1 year of trombone. I want to take drum lessons one day, and maybe singing lessons.
