I'm reading my magazines again LOL and I came across a article that says valve adjustments should be done ever 6000 miles. Are these hard to do? I have an haynes somewhere (kinda lost it getting a new grill) so I'm sure they will explain it in there.
If we had a scale, tire change is at 1 and rebuilding the engine is at 100, where abouts would this sit?
Thanks

More like... Valves should be adjusted at 100,000MILES, and every 15,000 thereafter.

that sounds better. How hard is it, and about how long of a project?

This may or may not be bad advice.... I have NEVER adjusted the valves on any of my VW's... Never seen a point.... Now if the car starts running crappy and making excessive valve noise, then it's time to adjust, but if you hear minor clicks and the car runs excellent, there is no reason to adjust valves.

I'll take that as good advice. It sounds logical.
