I'm finally getting the chance to do my front end swap with a golf. This guy is going to drive over from SC and I'm going to drive over from GA, and we are going to swap at some random exit. Anyways... I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of tools I will need, or if anyone has done this before and has any recommendations. I appreciate any help.

LOL!!!!! that's awesome. A 10MM wrench will dismantle the entire car.

Mock me you might, but 95% of the bolts on (an A2 atleast) are 10MM.

It just seems to me that one should need more then one 10mm wrench to take any car apart.

yea, a 10MM deep socket and ratchet with extention always help. for those hard to reach/loosen bolts.

Well, I went ahead with the swap, and it looks sweet, except the guy had significantly more paint chips on his front end than on mine, so I'll hafta touch those spots up. I'll post pics if I ever get a chance, may be weeks though, since I'm in college and I don't have my car with me. But anyways, I ended up just neednig a screwdriver, and two different size wrenches, I think a 6MM and a 12MM. But anyways, it's pretty cool, and touching up the paint is way cheaper than buying the whole conversion.
