Hey guys whats up? I just noticed the other day that my front fenders looked like they had been ripped down from the underside where the mud shields attach to the top of the fender. I bent them back up and it looks ok now. Do you think that I was rubbing my fenders? I am 100% stock suspension and wheels, but I do like to have fun on winding roads. Do you think this means my struts are blown?
By the way I drive an Mk4 vr6

Hmmm... I'm having trouble visualizing the damage. Is it at the top of the wheel arch or more towards the back of the fender? If you could easily take a photograph that woudl be helpful. Try looking on the tire to see if you can see can cut marks or places it might be rubbing.
How many miles are on your mark 4? If your struts are blown, you'd definitely now it. Is the ride bouncy?

Thanks for getting back so quick. This is towards the top of the wheel arch maybe a little more towards the front. My ride doesn't feel that bouncy, but the shocks sound super gassy, is that normal? Like every bump I hit I can hear the shock hissing.

Do you get snow in your area? That could have been from snow. But if the ride isn't bad and the front doesnt bounce real bad when you push down on it, I think the struts are fine.

we had one significant snow this year, but it was like 6 inches max. I guess I'll just keep an eye on it and see if it happens again. Thanks for the input.
