for months now i've been wondering where the majority of the "cool" people on the old JO site have gone. Of course there is no mention to this exile on the JO site. now i see why. i have to admit i feel a little left-out but hopefully it was not intentional and i get the chance to re-inncorporate myself into the group, although i don't intend on discluding myself from JO (sucks what he did to you guys but personaly i have nothing against 1eightT and still enjoy the site. except for a couple of tools that have made there way into the forums.)

I was going through rough financial times when the site was sold, otherwise I would have bought the damn site and left well enough alone.... But I think this site is going to grow to be the better of the two sites. 1EightT is using his advertisments for personal gain, but my dream is to get some serious ad revenue going so I can have shirts and stickers made for all the users free of charge. I'm hosting the site myself on my own server in my house, so I will need to buy some more bandwidth if we get much larger... At any rate, i'm glad to have you with us again! :D It's gonna take some time, but were getting there.

ya i figured that out quickly. i recieved the pm from cody a while back i clicked on it and it brought me here. i only glanced at the page briefly and was like what the hell is that? at the time i was traveling alot and didn't have much of a clue as to what was going on. when i came back, it seemed the more popular people were not posting. (me moving up into the top ten posters kind of gave it away-thought that would never happen)i didn't really think anything of it, people get busy. then i was looking at a thread and it showed diesel as banned? i was like wtf? but i didn't get to far in my search. now i have seen the light :roll: anyway, glad to be here, few bugs to work out but it looks like things are coming along.(i'm assuming the headers thing is one of those bugs???) :D [/quote]

Because I got pissed off that he came in there and started changing all the crap, I got banned. That's it in a nutshell. It started out like this. "I don't see a problem with the site. I don't plan on changing it, look like a great layout!" 2 weeks later, he pulled the database out from under the old site and stuck it on a new piece of forum software... You can see the difference by comparing these 2 sites. Anyway, any existing member's join date was changed to december of 1969? Well, this was another factor that pissed me off, because a lot of the veterans wouldnt get jack for representing the site since 2001 like me, nino, steve and qwik... There are a couple others, but I was really the only one that was fighting a war that everybody should have been. I made a poll asking if anybody like the new website. Everybody voted no. To make himself look good, he used his admin power to change the vote numbers on the other side to match the No's.... Again, another factor that pissed me off.... To put it lightly, we were ****ed. I had spent over 2 years on that site, I was the 2nd highest poster to Nino. I moderated the entire site. I spent well over 200 hours just moderating that site on MY OWN TIME. Then this bastard came in there and just totally messed things up. I've tried using the site in the past, but the look and feel just isnt the same... The doesnt have soul anymore. So, I sought to duplicate the site as much as I could, and this is what I have come up with... Only on this site, you won't and advertisment on every page, and here you'll actually get good information, not bogus bull**** from their homosexual moderators at JO... Again, just welcoming everybody to the site, i hope you enjoy the stay!

That site is ass now, especially since all the big posters who actually know **** about volkswagens are gone (Me, Diesel, Gotturbo, Mortal Wombat, Jettadude, and so on) are gone.

Sorry to hear about JO, i really liked that site, for a while i was really into posting and giving good info on it. I even saw people at my favorite shop looking through the forums. It used to be a respectable forum for good information, and im sorry to see something like that go.

I can't take the tools at JO anymore. The site has seriously been hijacked. You thought it was bad when 1eightT took over, you should see the idiots that are posting over there now. I'll take my beating for not coming here for awhile now.. :oops:
