I have a slightly used clamp expander for those C-clamps that hold the Exhaust Pipe (Header Pipe) to the Engine Exhaust Manifold on RV engines.

It was Manufactured by Charles Meglio, LLC, you can see the details about the tool here:
http://www.metalnerd.com/cat08.htm

It is Part MN406600.

It works just as well as they say, it makes taking those springs on and off easy and safe. It has been used to do one exhuast job, and it is unlikely I will need it again in the next 7 years. So I figure I would offer it too someone who may be able to use it for less than a new one.

I paid $65 plus shipping. I am asking $35.00, plus actual shipping cost. Can ship USPS or UPS.

I hate those damn C clamps... I can honestly say that I have nearly been killed 3 or 4 times by them. Good luck with the sale :D

Ya I just use a torch to remove them ;)

Getting them off is easy, zuk ;) You know those lug wrenches that have the large... flat screw driver thinggy on the other end? I think that is to pry hub caps. Anyway... I usually use that to remove the c clamps. Pry it out... Just make sure you cover your head and evacuate all children before you do it cause they have been known to fly at high speeds for several meters (for you twig).

If you reinstall the exhaust manifold before you put the cylinder head back on you can actually maneuver the c clamps back on without using a tool... allthough the tool he is selling would make life a lot easier....
