Anyone have a set or know of a GOOD place to get them?
May be interisted in a set of projectors instead.
Who has what?

They may not be e-codes, but i have a set of aeros off the car you sold me. I replaced them with e-code rounds. Perhaps you'd like them back?

I sold you a car?

I need E Codes for my next car, I love the light pattern the produce and when I add the HID's it's even better..

Thanks though.

Silver Jetta? Is that it? Have you posted up pics yet?
If it's the one I'm thinking of I really liked that one, after it left I kicked myself for letting it go. The body was in better shape than the one I'm building now, kinda sad really.

Yup, that's the car. I like it quite a bit. I've mostly just repaired a couple things, but haven't done anything major to it. I fixed the oil buzzer problem, odometer (it's 10 mph off, but that's my bad), and a couple of other minor problems. I'm still pestering cody to sell me a diesel engine to swap into it.

Sweet!

Glad it's working good for ya. I had a feeling it was going tobe a good car for ya.

Get that door handle fixed?

Yup. I was able to get two door handles for around 15$ from a guy on vortex. One of the doors wouldn't open after I installed the new handles, but i was able to bend the little lever in the door back up and they both work fine now. I fixed that nasty exhaust problem as well (except that it vibrates against the rear axle if anyone is sitting in the rear driver's side).

Ya know I think most older VW's have the vibrating exhaust issue...

Heck this 96 I'm driving does the same thing of course it doesn't have the small ass pipe under it anymore but still if I put people in the back I get a vibration when we hit bumps.

Keep in touch, between Cody and I we should be able to keep you on the road for YEARs..

You really want to go through the trouble of a rebuild? The head should be good... all the engine needs is rings, I guess.

Anyway... There are e codes with crystal clear lenses. (none of the light diffusing shapes on the glass). They are beautiful. I think good day for a drive or twig or somebody on here had a Mark 2 with these lights and they looked really nice.

Please show me!! twig???

I bought some smoked E Codes yesterday (new). I wish there was some ok looking projectors on the market but I'm screwed unless I want to build them.

Yeah... IIRC it was a black/grey/dark silver mark II. It was lowered like all hell... like an inch off the ground.

Check this out, I found a fair deal on some dual projectors.
Now I really dont like how they look at all, but I love the beam on them.

SO, I'm thinking if I can find someone to polish the inside of a lense in a couple places than I can remove the NA lenses I have and the 2 spots that the projectors are I would sand off the optics and have those 2 spots polished so the projectors would do thier job. Then reglue the NA lenses on the projector housings giving me a NA aero headlight look with dual projectors..

What ya think?

Maybe I could just clear coat the inside of the lense instead of polishing?

If I sanded if smooth enough there wouldnt be much to fill really..

I'll do some interweb searching on glass polishing..

If you went that route you would probably need to smoke the parabola and lense... That might look kind of wierd having two clear circles in the oem aero lense.

Ya I was planning on smoking te part of the lense that wasnt used so there wouldnt be an obvious changein the look from the NA lense. I mean it would look deferantly for sure but less obvious than if left clear.
