Awesome site! I have the dreadfull air pump and egr that rest up on the back of the exhaust mani and guess what I don't need it! Anyone know of how to delete it I've thought about switching the ecu to an obd1 anyone know.....anyone?

Welcome to dubnet :D! On some obd 1 intake manifolds there is an EGR block off plate that will allow you to delete the EGR valve. Then just get vice grips and pinch the line that comes from the exhaust manifold. I'm sure you could fabricate the plate if you wanted, but it might be easier to hit the junkyard and find one. A block off plate is required to fully delete the air injection system.... I don't think anybody sells a plate for the ABA engine, but I know they sell the plate for the VR6... the *might* interchange. If you wanted to do it on the cheap, you can get a big vacuum cap and just cork the line off right before it runs into the head.

The entire wire harness is different between obd 1 and obd 2... You can't swap ECU's. If you'r local govt doesn't require obd II emissions the easiest thing would be to just take the instrument cluster out and remove the check engine light bulb. If they do require obd II emissions changing the ECU won't help either because the obd I ecu will not talk to obd II diagnostics equipment.

Yeah I shouldve figured that about the obd1 obd2 thing. I'm not in an area where things like the emissions are but how would it affect my idle andjust the way the car drives if I were to just take off the air pump and block it? The egr valve I do need but the car has cali emmis ya know if it weren't then the egr should resy on the throttle body right?

The EGR connects directly to the intake manifold on the bottom. EGR does not touch the throttle body. The evaporative emissions system connects to the throttle body via a big vacuum line. That doesn't harm or hurt performance in any way, so you should leave that... Evap emissions are bad for the air. If you live in an area that doesn't require emissions, I'd say go nuts... Block the air injection off and get rid of that damn power sucking air pump. If it's a California car, then it should have EGR unless somebody removed it already... :)
