need help!

My son was wiring his 2002 Beetle for a trailer hitch....had some problems with that, but now today, he has no a/c. Fuses are all checking out okay? Anybody know anything about a master reset button??? Or any other suggestions?

What part of the wiring was he messing with? I am assuming only the wires to the rear lights inside the hatch area. Try switching the defrost on with the key ON and engine OFF to see if you can hear the AC compressor click on with the defrost. The wiring for the lights and the AC are in no way related so I believe it might be a strange coincidence. Let me know if you can hear the AC compressor click on and then we will investigate from there.
