Hey guys, whats up? I have an 01 Jetta Vr6 that I just recently bought. Just last night we had an extremely heavy rain, and this morning my front passenger floor was soaked. The seats were dry, along the moon roof was dry, and the door panels were dry. Just where your feet go was drenched, and smelled bad. Any thoughts for where I am leaking? Thanks

First thing I would check is the rain tray... the HVAC induction, which is on that side. Leaves or other debris clogging up the drainage passages could cause water to back up and get inside the HVAC intake area.
For reference:
Red is the "rain tray cover"
Yellow is the rubber weather stripping seal that you need to remove to get under the rain tray.
Just pull the rubber strip off gently (it pops back on) and you should be able to look in there and see if there is dirt or leaves, etc... Good luck.

So. It turned out that it was the pollen filter seal, which means you pretty much hit it dead on. Thanks
