Anyone know if a set of '01 Jetta struts will work on a A1 GTI? Thanks.

Thanks. I didn't figure they'd work, but it was worth a shot. Gotta find some cheap suspension...

LOL!!! that homer thing is hillarious. Anyway, yeah, the A4 and A2 suspensions are totally different. I was looking at some struts, and asked Walt (Vdubtek) and he said they are totally different. I'm sure that with some modification that you could make them work, but I wouldnt trust it. You are looking for cheap? A2 stuff is cheaper than A4 stuff isnt it? What are you trying to do? Lower it or what?

The sizes of the MKIV struts are totally different along with the travel.
