My vr6 tops out at 200 km\h just wondering if these cars are governed or if Im not making the power I should be? If there is a govenor how do I take the thing out???:)

Yes, they are governed. You can ungovern it by adding a performance chip. I hope you are testing this on a track though, pretty sure that far over the speed limit is instant jailtime.

dont kno what the difference between km/h or mph is but i got mine up to 137 and then it acts like its governed out cuz it just stops but it wants to keep goin. its a 01 jetta vr6

Pretty much all cars in North America or electronically governed. You can get an ecu chip to remove the electronic limiter, but I would first recommend making sure your car can handle it... make sure your tires are rated for the speed. Ensure your brakes are in top notch condition. Make sure all your lugs are tight. You also want to make sure all your maintenance is up to date as well. Those speeds are intense on the engine.
Anyway, my 94 Jetta is limited to 121mph, so consider yourself a little luckier than me... : )

thank u very much mr. diesel. i defitnly want to geto ne of these chips as my next mod. i got an exausht and a k&n filter and high po fluids throughout but thats it right now.

Mods like exhaust, intake, cams etc are all very well complimented by a chip. These mods open up the air flow, then the chip adds amongst other things. :-D

cool i have a k&n filter and a 2.5 inch exausht cut-out on it so that really helps to pfree up the exausht flow after the cat.
